Divide one PDF into several smaller documents. You can choose the exact pages to break at, split every N pages, split whenever the output reaches a given file size, or let the tool break the document at its chapter boundaries. Useful for separating a scanned batch back into individual records, or for cutting a large document down to something small enough to email.
Splitting produces several documents that together contain every page of the original. Extract Pages produces one document containing only the pages you picked, and discards the rest.
The tool keeps adding pages to the current output until it would exceed the size you set, then starts a new file. Because pages differ in weight, the parts come out close to your target rather than exactly on it.
It uses the bookmark outline embedded in the PDF. A document with no bookmarks - a plain scan, for example - has no chapter structure to split on, so use page numbers instead.
When a split produces multiple files they are offered together as a ZIP archive, as well as individually in the results panel.
Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection and processed on CoonTool's own server, not in your browser. The working copy is deleted automatically once the job is done, and in any case within 24 hours. Nothing is stored permanently and no account is required.
